  • Infographics: In Simple words, a graphical representation of data or information. Few of us show interest in reading lengthy articles and many just avoid. Infographics are visual treat to the readers as in them people can add content in various forms i.e. images, shapes, colors etc.
  • Social Shopping Network: If you have an ecommerce website then you should add this tactic in your strategy. In this activity you can easily advertise and do branding for your products by adding them to the free shopping sites such as Google Product Search, MSN Online Shopping, Yahoo Online Shopping and many more.
  • Video Promotion: If your business already has videos about the services or products then it is highly recommended that have a YouTube channel for your brand and its videos. People can better understand by watching them online. You can specify various things in videos like reviews, what that particular product or service is all about etc. But If your business don’t have any videos then you can create video infographics as well by adding product images, content, shapes, information and then can publicize them on video marketing sites.
  • Local Directories: Local business directories are most important to go with if you are targeting local market. There are many authoritative directories available online such as Google Places, Yellow Pages, Yelp, Insider pages and so on. While listing your website on these platforms make sure of NAP (Name, Address and Phone) as they are the most important things to keep in mind.

Difference between Follow and No-Follow Links

For the successful SEO process, we should have clear understanding of it. Back-linking is an important factor of Search engine optimization.

What is Backlinks?

To rank your website in SERPs, SEOs create external links on different sites to your website is called Backlinks. They can be in any form or with any tactic. SEO is majorly depends upon the popularity of a site and it can be done by creating links on other website but be careful as they must be accurate and according to the norms. If we don’t follow the norms or violate them then it will be considered as Black Hat SEO or negative SEO.

When we do linking, we should be aware with the nature of the Backlinks. There are two types of them one those are important and second those are not so important. Let’s get a clear idea on both these terminologies:

  1. Dofollow Links: Dofollow links allow search engines to follow them and to reach your website. These types of links are followed by both Search engines and humans. So, creating Do-follow links is important as they get crawled by search engines and their value is also gets transferred.
  2. Nofollow Links: Nofollow is HTML attribute value introduced by Matt cutts in 2005. People use these link types when they don’t want to pass the juice of that particular link as search engines won’t read them. These kind of links are only human-based not crawler based.

Major difference between them is dofollow pass link juice while nofollow don’t pass the link juice.

As per Google Professionals, we should work on making the User Experience good as Google gives more importance to User experience than bots’ experience. There are many On-page techniques available but I am mentioning few major must do On-page factors in this article. • URL Structure: SEO’s should make sure, the URLs are SEO friendly, easy to remember and read. We should not use unnecessary symbols in the URLs instead should have simple approach by having page name in the URL.
  • Meta Title & Description Tags: Meta Title and Description Tags are very important as it gives brief to the search engine about your webpage. Search Engines use Meta information such as Title and description in the SERPs to show along with the URL.
  • XML Sitemaps: There are types of sitemaps available such as XML, HTML, TXT, ROR, XHTML but crawlers can read only XML sitemap. Every webpage of the whole website is accessible via this file. Crawlers use this file to navigate your site.
  • txt: This file is used to instruct crawlers about the noindex. In simple words, if you don’t want to index any page then you can disallow it with the help of this file.
